About

Hi, I'm Mat.

For 7 years and 200+ builds, I've cared about one thing above all: whether the website actually earns its keep.

How I got here

Software, taken seriously

I've been a software engineer since 2020, 7 years now, across 200+ builds for businesses across Malaysia and Singapore. Somewhere in there I started a master's in artificial intelligence at the University of Pennsylvania, and left it unfinished.

That was a choice rather than a setback. The work I care about was already in front of me: small and medium businesses who need a website that earns its keep, and who mostly get handed a template and left to make it work. I'd rather give that my whole attention than half of it.

None of that is the point I lead with, though. What I actually care about is narrower: whether the site I hand over changes something for the business running it. A faster load. A form that finally gets filled in. A visitor who becomes a customer instead of bouncing.

The studio is deliberately small, and the work stays personal because of it. It's me you talk to, me who builds it, and me you'll hear from if something needs fixing after launch.

What I believe

Craftsmanship you can measure

A beautiful site that doesn't convert is a beautiful failure. I'd rather build something quieter that actually moves the numbers that matter to you (enquiries, bookings, sales) than chase a look that only impresses other designers.

How I work

Three steps, nothing hidden

We talk, I scope it, you get a proposal.

I build it, you review, we refine until it's right.

You sign off happy, then pay the balance. I don't disappear.
